Cambodia has reported an impressive achievement in its export sector, with earnings exceeding $12 billion in the first half of the year. This significant milestone highlights the country's growing economic prowess and its ability to compete in the global market. The export industry plays a crucial role in driving Cambodia's economic growth, and this remarkable performance is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its businesses and workforce. With such promising results, Cambodia is poised to continue its upward trajectory in the international trade arena.
The General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia released a report on July 10, 2024, revealing the top countries that Cambodia exported to. The United States, Vietnam, China, Japan, Thailand, Canada, Britain, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Hong Kong, and several other major trading partners were among the countries that received the most exports from Cambodia.
Cambodia's main exports include garments and accessories made from fabrics, fruits and nuts, machinery and electrical equipment, shoes, rubber, rubber products, and other major commodities, according to a report.
Pen Sovicheat, the Secretary of State and spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce has confirmed that Cambodia's exports are still experiencing steady growth. Despite a slight decrease in orders, this can be attributed to Cambodia's production of essential goods such as garments, bicycles, agricultural products, and rice. Importing countries are continuing to import these goods, ensuring a steady flow of trade.
