Prime Minister : Aural District Will Become a Strategic Investment Zone

On the morning of May 20, 2025, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, expressed confidence that Aural District in Kampong Speu Province will become a strategic zone for investment in the near future. This is based on the construction of multiple road links connecting Kampong Chhnang and Koh Kong Provinces.

He made these remarks while presiding over the inauguration of a cement factory operated by Con KT Cement (Phnom Penh) Co., Ltd., located in the Haong Samnam area, in Monorom Village, Haong Samnam Commune, Aural District, Kampong Speu Province. Prime Minister Hun Manet stated:
“Because of the end of the war and the government’s policies, Aural is no longer just a remote area. It now connects to Kampong Chhnang and will soon have a direct link to National Road No. 5. Another road is under planning that will connect to National Road No. 48 toward Koh Kong. Oral is strategic for investment—whether via National Road 5 or Road 4—this area could become an agri-industrial zone or support additional industries.”

According to the Prime Minister, any country affected by war faces destruction in an instant: buildings, roads, and infrastructure can be wiped out in a single attack. But under peace, and through the government’s win-win policy, Cambodia has enjoyed political stability and development across all sectors.

He also noted that, over the past three days, he had inaugurated two achievements in former battlefield areas. The first was the opening of a new school building in Veal Veng District. The second was the inauguration of the cement factory. He emphasized that these achievements were made possible by peace—without peace, none of this would have been possible. Through the win-win policy, honesty, and trust, Cambodia has ended its war.
