Bill Gates suggested how to stop the Covid-19 pandemic

According to The Verge, the founder of Microsoft considered contact tracking to identify and isolate people who could spread the virus is an "ideal way" to end the pandemic.
He did not appreciate the Contact Tracing technology proposed by Apple and Google. Gates argued that privacy made countries unable to apply GPS tracking like South Korea and China.
"If most people volunteer to install such an application, it might help," Gates wrote.
But he pointed out the situation where people with Covid-19 left the virus on the surface. Other people come into contact with the surface and spread the infection even though they never came close. Not to mention, this system needs to be installed on a large scale to promote the effectiveness that is difficult to achieve.

“I think most of the country will use German methods, interview each of the Covid-19 patients, use a database to ensure follow-up of all who come into contact with them. They look at patterns of infection in high-risk areas and the policy that needs revision, ”he wrote.
The billionaire acknowledges this measure also raises concerns about privacy and needs to be carried out on a large scale. Therefore, health authorities need to arrange staff to expedite the process.
They need proper training and information security. Researchers review the data to determine patterns of infection and also need to ensure patient privacy.

In fact, the US health agency is trying to expand the interview system to track exposure. In particular, the state of Massachusetts mobilized 1,000 people to contact the Covid-19 patient by phone, determining who they contacted.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also sends a team to track the people exposed to the virus to 8 states. Monitoring people in close contact with patients also requires a testing system, but the US slows down.
